May 23, 2012 - THE DUKE OF METAL TAKES A "LEAP OF FAITH" WITH HIS LATEST BAND

Rich "The Duke" Ward of Fozzy and Stuck Mojo fame met worship leader Terry Chism at Noonday Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia, and after becoming part of the church's worship ministry himself, Rich decided to pursue a new musical project with Terry--one that "focuses on "focuses on contemporary rock styles, soaring vocal melodies, and bringing a positive message to a troubled world." With Christian rock bands such as Stryper and Skillet in mind, the two formed the band Walking With Kings and have released a self-titled debut album.

April 24, 2012 - FIREWORKS MAGAZINE - ALBUM REVIEW - IAN JOHNSON

Album Review, FIREWORKS MAGAZINE We want to thank FIREWORKS MAGAZINE for the following album review. Please visit their website at www.rocktopia.net

Sometimes an album comes out of the blue and is so good that its name should be shouted out from the rooftops with high praise. Walking With Kings is just such an album, and more to the point was/is free to download from the bands website. So how does a free album come to be one of my most played albums of the last month or so?

Well when you first read the words download for free etc, you always have in the back of your mind the question as to why are they doing this? Is it so bad that they have to give it away or if not what is wrong with it and should I bother? Those same thoughts were running through my mind, thankfully though a couple of people had posted online about how good they thought the songs were, so I took a chance and now WWK is high on my list (already) for a place in my albums of the year. The band itself features members of Stuck Mojo and Fozzy on guitars, bass and drums, whilst the vocals and keyboards are played/sung by Terry Chism, who I think is really the true star of the album, as he has a voice to die for... April 17, 2012 - FIREWORKS MAGAZINE - INTERVIEW WITH RICH WARD - WALKING WITH KINGS

Rich Ward Interview, FIREWORKS MAGAZINE We want to thank FIREWORKS MAGAZINE for the interview with Rich Ward. Please visit their website at www.rocktopia.net

Rich Ward has an impressive back catalogue of high quality work through his career. He can lay claim to being the driving force behind rap-metal pioneers Stuck Mojo, as well as the chief creative force with metal band Fozzy, fronted by WWE superstar Chris Jericho. Fozzy have evolved from a spoof act into a serious and highly regarded rock band due in no small part to Rich Ward being ‘one of the best song writers in metal’, according to Jericho, but he proved he was a talented artist in his own right when he released his magnificent melodic solo album ‘My Kung Fu Is Good’ under his moniker of The Duke. If that wasn’t enough, he is now part of a superb new act called Walking With Kings, a Christian themed band featuring Ward as the guitarist and co-song writer, alongside his Fozzy band mate Frank Fontsere on drums, ex-Furyon bass player Simon Farmery and newcomer Terry Chism, who not only provides keyboards and the other half of the song writing partnership, but tops everything off with a soaring vocal performance. All this, and the album is free! James Gaden wanted to help spread the word... Read more...

February 22, 2012 - WALKING WITH KINGS, SELF TITLED, 2012
Written By Peter

Some names behind this band are more known than others, but the origin of this new band lays with the so far unknown Terry Chism (singer / keyboards) making contact with Stuck Mojo and Fozzy guitar player Rich Ward (whose solo venture The Duke – My Kung Fu Is Good I also really like). Other band members come from nearby, with Stuck Mojo and Fozzy drummer Frank Fontsere and Simon Farmery (Pride, Furyon and… Fozzy!) on bass. Now Stuck Mojo is an unknown entity to me (yet – please forgive me), so I can´t really tell how close this is. But since TC reckons Steve Perry, Bryan Adams and Michael Sweet to his musical greats, I think it is a pretty safe bet to say this is a far more melodic outing. Yet this is no Journey or Stryper clone....

February 13, 2012 - FALLENBLUE.ORG - WALKING WITH KINGS' TERRY CHISM, TAKES A LEAP OF FAITH WITH FALLEN BLUE

Having interviewed Walking With Kings' Rich Ward (also of Fozzy & Stuck Mojo fame) and now the bands lead singer, Terry Chism, its safe to say that this is a band to watch out for! Many people may shy away from Christian rock, but by doing so, they would be missing out on some of the best lyrics and musicianship in the industry today. Fans of Stryper, Skillet, Third Day, and Red will love this band. Its our honor to welcome Walking With Kings to our family. The interview below, with Terry, is one of the most in depth ones we have done here, as he shares everything from the bands goals, their inspirations, and a moving statement for police officers...

January 17, 2012 - WWW.PITRIFF.COM - WALKING WITH KINGS

Pitriff - Chris Akin's Metal and Rantings...
I’m a big Rich Ward fan – huge, actually. I think he is the one guitarist out there that’s never been given his just due. Stuck Mojo was a tremendous band that never got the credit they deserved while lesser bands like Limp Bizkit and Korn rose to dominance for a decade. Ward has a large body of work with Stuck Mojo, as well as other bands like Sick Speed, The Duke and Adrenaline Mob. Whiiel he’s teetered in and out of Christian-like themes for years, Ward has now put together and recorded a full Christian Rock album with Walking With Kings. Past Stuck Mojo, this may be his best project to date...

January 17, 2012 - WWW.DEATHMETALBABOON.COM - Rockin' Out with Walking With Kings

I know, I know, some people will not be happy with what I’m about to write, but this groups debut has had seven spins in total in the past week, so I didn’t want to keep this to myself. Walking With Kings are a four piece Hard Rock / Heavy Metal outfit from the States, which features frontman Terry Chism, ex-Stuck Mojo/ex-Adrenaline Mob/ex-Sick Speed guitarist Rick Ward, ex-Stuck Mojo drummer Frank Fontsere (the latter two were also in Heavy Metal band Fozzy), and last but not least ex-Furyon bassist Simon Farmery. One hell of a long list, but some (semi-) great names are to be spotted, which means that Walking With Kings should be blowing some people’s minds here...

October 4, 2011 - Walking With Kings Announces the Departure of Sean Delson, Welcomes Simon Farmery

Sean is an amazing bassist and has been instrumental in many of the tracks on the forthcoming debut album. However, Sean has elected to pursue other musical opportunities. “Sean is a true talent. We wish him the very best in every way!” says Terry Chism, lead vocalist/keyboardist.

In replacing Sean, Walking With Kings has tabbed Simon Farmery as the new bassist. Simon has played with bands Pride and Furyon and has had the privilege to tour all over Europe with some of the biggest bands in Rock. He has also recently performed in Fozzy alongside our own Rich Ward and Frank Fontsere at the “Rockstar UPROAR Festival”, which featured other great bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Seether and Bullet For My Valentine… just to name a few.

“We just completed filming the ‘Leap of Faith’ video with Simon. Working with him on the video was an awesome experience. Soon, everyone will see the kind of energy and talent this Englishman brings to the band and to the stage.”, says Terry, “He’s made his place in the King’s family, plus his British accent keeps us entertained. Feels like we’ve been playing together for years.”.
